From the initial consultation, where we work to create a personal dental plan with each patient, to the actual treatment, we strive continually to help our patients realize their dreams and meet their dental goals.

Dr. Matthews was selected to be the dentist to appear on Austin's Ultimate Makeover on KVUE and KVUE.com in January 2004. He is rapidly becoming known as Austin's leading dentist for discriminating clients who want cosmetic and sedation dentistry.

Dr. Matthews has trained with some of the world's most prominent dental specialists. He began his education at The University of Texas in Austin where he graduated in three years. Pursuing his interest in dentistry, Dan attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, which has been rated the number one dental school in the nation. Upon graduation, he was accepted into a hospital-based General Practice Residency at the Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio. Soon afterwards he moved to the Valley, where he developed a successful restorative and cosmetic dental practice. He relocated to Austin in 1997 and has practiced dentistry for over twenty years.

Continuing education has been a lifework for Dan Matthews as he strives to provide the highest quality of dental care to his patients. Having accumulated over 700 hours of postgraduate education, he attained Fellowship status in the American Academy of General Dentistry. In organized dentistry, Dr. Matthews has served as President and Vice President of the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society and his local chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been a delegate to the Texas Dental Association and the American Academy of General Dentistry. Currently he maintains membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, L.D. Pankey Institute, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Equilibration Society, and the Capital Area Dental Society.
